Come join us for a very special event at Fairfax Pet Supplies Plus with a special appearance by Kirk Cousins.

Kirk and his wife, Julie, are passionate supporters of pet adoption and rescue groups and we hope you are too. Kirk and Julie will be making an appearance at Pet Supplies Plus to help raise awareness and interest in supporting local rescue groups and we hope you'll take a few moments to stop by to talk about pets or football. Mark it on your calendar because we're sure "You Like That" when it comes to helping out dogs in need of a new home.

To meet Kirk, hang out and get an autograph, stop by the store between 7:00 and 8:00 PM.

Plus, you can also pick up your official "You Like That" t-shirt and have it signed by Kirk! When you do, 10% of your TOTAL purchase will go to support the International Justice Mission (www.ijm.org) through Kirk Cousins' non-profit foundation.

VGSR Charity Run

We are ONE WEEK away and counting down to the VGSR FUN RUN and WALK! Come out and join us on Saturday, June 11th, 2016, as Virginia German Shepherd Rescue hosts its 2nd Annual Fun Run! Help promote breed awareness, while supporting an organization that rehabilitates, and re-homes hundreds of German Shepherds in need, every year.

The Fun Run will be held at Burke Lake Park on Ox Road, in Fairfax Station, VA. This truly is a beautiful venue, with gorgeous scenery for the whole family to enjoy! The race starts at 8:00 AM, and will be staggered to accommodate participants both with, and without K9 companions. After your run, plan to stay a little longer and join us for some prizes, and refreshments. It's guaranteed to be a good time for both pups and people.

VGSR Josie's Fun Yard Sale

VGSR is having a yard sale extravaganza! Come join us in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley for a day of raising monies for one our of Special Funds: Josie's Fund.

Jose's Fund was established to provide financial assistance for the care of pets whose owners, because of special circumstances, are unable to afford the expense (i.e. spay/neuter; food; medical care; boarding). Examples of support this fund has provided include helping when short term support was needed due to job/income loss; assisting when a divorce and temporary move necessitated boarding the dog; supporting a woman who was forced to move to a shelter and providing for the dog until she was back on her feet; or providing for a dog when a family was having a major medical issue and paying for dog walkers, etc.
