Duke 7291

Meet Duke. I looked up the name Duke, and it's meaning, and it says it is commonly associated with strength, authority, and a refined, classic persona. This is a fitting name for our little foster boy. We have only had the pleasure of fostering Duke a week and a half so we are still truly getting to know him, but can I just say WOW!!! What an amazing young pup! He is 9 months old but already an amazingly well-rounded dog. He is great with other dogs, as we have two of our own, and we are told that he is good with cats, chickens, and kids. He is crate trained and house broken. He has excellent name recall and will literally go to his crate on command. He does stay in a crate when we are at work but sleeps out of the crate all night and does really well. He sleeps on a pet bed and doesn't make a sound. He shows no signs of food or toy aggression and takes correction from our two German Shepherds very well. He has been going for daily walks and walks very well on the leash. He does know sit, down and come and performs very well, with an occasional puppy brain. He is a fairly quiet boy and really only barks when new people enter but quickly warms up. We have a privacy fence, and he shows no signs of jumping. He plays very well with various toys and has not gotten into anything he isn't supposed to.

I will say that Duke is a BIG boy for 9 months, he stands about 2 to 3 inches taller than our adult German Shepherds and is already 84 pounds. He is going to be quite big once fully grown. Duke has had vaccines and is in the process of being scheduled for his neuter. If you are interested in meeting Duke and possibly adding him to your family, please apply online and feel free to contact me at jenniferlynnbacon@outlook.com to schedule a meet and greet!
