Meet Max! Max is a recently surrendered (due to no fault of his own) 6 month old GSD pup whose previous owner says may be a Malinois mix. With his light athletic build and amazing handler focus, we would not be surprised if that turns out to be the case. Either way he is a gorgeous boy with a working dog vibe to him. Max is bright, eager to please, learns quickly, and devoted with a capital D. He bonds quickly to his person and then is a velcro shepherd. Max is pretty polite on the leash instead of trying to dislocate your shoulder smelling all the smells, knows how to Sit, goes into a crate willingly (but protests for a few mins when you leave him), loves to play with other dogs, rides well in the car, and can jump a 4 foot fence with ease. A fenced home is not required to adopt him, but his fence leaping skill is pretty impressive and any potential home should know about it! Luckily he does not jump fences to run away, but instead to find his favorite person at top speed. So any fenced yard time must come with supervision for this guy. Max has been exposed to other medium and large breed dogs, horses, cats, and 4 wheelers at his foster home. He has not had any accidents in the house, but is still crated when not supervised. Anyone with working breed experience who wants to play "I love you more, no I love YOU more" with their dog will absolutely love Max. He is up for any adventure you are and would most likely excel in dog sports or advanced training.
