Following life as a stray and rescue from an overcrowded rural shelter, Sarge entered foster care and new beginning. He is very sweet, smart, treat motivated, good on lead, and house-trained. He can be guarded with other dogs initially and not a dog park type but does well with slow introductions. He is likely not compatible with cats or other small animals. He is medium energy but very active. Sarge is working through separation anxiety with a departing routine and needs the same commitment in his forever home. He needs a pack leader with GSD experience and commitment to training, discipline, socialization, boundaries, and physical/mental challenges.
