Ummm hi.. My name is Shep. Sorry if I seem a little nervous, you see, I haven't spent much time out in the open around strangers so this is all very new to me. I am trying my best to open up and be a friendly dog, and my foster mom says that I am doing a great job! Even though I am not very trusting of strangers, I adapt really quickly and after a few days of knowing someone I tend to be all over them. I really like to cuddle and shove my face at you for attention, it makes me feel safe and happy. I am 3 years old and very well behaved! I am 100% potty trained, and my foster mom says I am not very dominant. I guess she says that because I don't test the alpha male of the house or start trouble with anyone, even the cats! I just let them meander around on their own and don't bother them. My foster mom says that's a great quality to have!

I'm also very docile and patient, and I think I might really like a home with kids to cuddle and love me. I may be calm and sweet but I promise to let you know when there is suspicious activity and keep your family safe. I know my ears don't stand straight up, and I'm a little unusual looking but that just means I am one of a kind and very special! I'm not very big on playing with toys, but I do like to run around the back yard with the other doggies!

My foster mom says that anyone who meets me will fall in love with me, and that she is going to miss me so much when I find my furever family. She says that they are going to be sooo lucky to have me! So I guess now I am just looking for that family to keep me warm and continue helping me learn to stop being so nervous.
