8/21/15 - UPDATE Bobby/Biscuit's separation anxiety has improved immensely. He does not cry going into his crate, but as soon as he knows you are coming to get him out, he makes quite the racket because he is so happy to see you. He just loves everyone! We have added a 103 lbs male GSD foster to the pack and they get along well (after about 24 hours of adjustment). He is eating well. He hasn't needed to go to the vet for anything recently, so we don't know if he has gained any weight. He has built muscles, so I suspect a small weight gain. He (knock wood) hasn't had an accident in the house for some time! He is still jumpy and mouthy and generally acts like a puppy, but he has become quite a nice house dog. He is crated when alone as he likes to chew the corner of cardboard boxes and has yet to become completely trustworthy for long periods of time. He is a very happy dog and will make someone a great companion and perhaps an agility dog. He can stand up like a meerkat and has been known to moonwalk. He was tested with a cat. He found the cat interesting and did a play bow. He responded well to the cat's correction of his being a bit to nosy. I would not say he is a good companion for a cat, but I would not rule living with a cat out. He does not exhibit much of a prey drive. He will chase a squirrel in the yard with his brother leading the chase, but is not overly interested in them on walks. 6/26/15 - According to this website, I am Bobby 4223. But to my foster family, I am Biscuit, interstate dog of mystery! I steal one little piece of biscuit and I get labeled for life. Can't knock a dog for being hungry. They didn't feed me my favorites at that shelter in NC, and no one came to pick me up, they said I was a stray. I say I was just looking for a great home - maybe yours? I've been staying with my foster family for almost 3 weeks and I'm getting the hang of it now. Foster mom says I am too cute, but that is just how I roll. I like to snuggle when I'm tired and can sit still and get some tummy scratches! They say I'm great on the leash and respond to correction. I love car rides! I'm trying really hard to be a good boy in the house, but I have had a few pee pee accidents. I mainly didn't know that I wasn't supposed to do that in the house. But I understand now and I'm trying! I'm just happy to be here with my foster bro and sis. They are super fun to play with and snuggle with and I understand I'm not the top dog here, so they don't give me much trouble. Apparently my foster sis doesn't like everybody, but she likes me and my bro! I LOVE my foster mom, when she leaves me, I cry, not for too long, they say I have separation anxiety. I just want to be with my foster people and dogs. My foster dad is awesome, he mixes up the best food for us. I love it when he feeds us. He is helping me learn to be a good house dog. My human foster sis has a nice room. I like to stretch out in her bed, but sometimes we don't both fit. I like to jump on people and sometimes I have to nibble on them, but when they tell me to stop, I usually do, but sometimes it is hard, like when they come home from being away from me. Why couldn't they just take me with them, I'm really a good boy! I like to talk too. I will tell you all about my day! I like to say hello to strangers, but for some reason my foster parents tell me I need to be quiet. Another thing to learn! I'm Lyme positive, which means I have to have a pill twice a day for a month, no biggy, I don't mind taking a pill, especially if you put it in a puperoni. Everybody says I'm skinny, maybe the pills will help me not be so skinny. I was having problems keeping my food in my tummy when I first arrived, but now I'm doing much better. I'm going to have THE operation on Monday, June 29th. They say I will really be a good boy after that. Foster mom says I am like a toddler now, maybe the surgery will help! Well, bye for now! I will check in with everybody after the big surgery! Wish me luck! 6/10/15 Stay tuned for more info on this cute little guy! He is a charmer and a bit of a wild child (but quite the quick learner)!
