Hi!  My name is Sophie!  I may not look 100% German Shepherd but I have so many Shepherd qualities you will fall in love with me like any other Shepherd! 

  I came to my foster home in June and settled right in!  I have a big furry foster brother I love to play with, morning, noon or night, it doesn’t matter!  I have a two big furry sisters that play with me too!  We are all one big happy fur ball!  I came to my foster home with heart worms~ not sure what that was, Mom said it was the way I wiggled into her heart!  But I went to the vet and they gave me some shots, made me rest back at home for a few months and now I’m all better!  Mom said she knows I feel so much better with all of the energy I have now. 

  I am crate trained; I might try to hide when I know hat it is crate time a little but that’s it.  I bark a few times when Mom & Dad go to work but that’s just to let them know I hear the door.  When they get home I don’t bark or cry- I just patiently wait for them to let me out of my crate to get my love! 

  I’m perfectly potty trained and work really good on a schedule.  I know when the alarm goes off Mom is up and letting us out and fixing my breakfast!  It’s a little early but 6am is our normal get-up time M-F; and sometimes on the weekend I’ll sleep in until about 7am (just to give Mom & Dad a little break)!

  I’m one of those girls that loves to curl up on your lap, yea I know, I don’t look like your typical lap dog but I can be!  I will curl up with you on the couch or recliner and snuggle in.  I love to have my ears and belly rubbed and just to have a big ole’ bear hug!  I will also just as happily curl up on one of our many puppy beds and lay quietly or snooze the evening away.  I would love to find my forever home ~ I am the girl who would love someone to run and/or walk with, play a little ball and just hang out.  I have a lot of energy that I would love to share with that special someone. 

  I get along good with kids; particularly if they want a cuddle or throw a ball for me to chase.  I do get along with other dogs; I play rough and tough- but I am corrected easily if I get a little too out of hand.
