UPDATE 8/2/15:  Brody has come along way with his confidence.  He is still very timid around men, but loves the ladies!  So he needs to have a female that is part of the family.  Brody needs to find a family that has GSD experience.  He needs someone that knows how to give him structure and leadership.  If you are not the leader of the pack he will be.

Brody needs room to run.  He LOVES to go outside in our fenced area and run and play off leash.  He loves to play and chase with our resident dog.  So I am looking for a family that has a fenced in yard.

Brody was born with his right hip not in place.  It is about 75% in place, but the head of the femur, the ball, is not completely in the hip socket.  This does not effect him in anyway.  Later in life he will most likely have some hip dysplasia in that hip.

We are currentlly working on manners.  We have the command sit down really well, we know easy and we don't rush the door to push outside any more.  We are working really hard on learning to listen to my foster mommys commands and not getting distracted.  No worries, we will get it!

Brody hasn’t had a very good start for his first nine months of life.  He is very shy and takes a couple of days to warm up to you.  Once he does you have a shadow.  He is a nine month old dog learning to be a puppy.  He has learned what toys are though sometimes he has a hard time figuring out between his toys and other things in the house, but he is learning.  He is not destructive, just being a puppy.  He has learned how to play with other dogs, he has learned to initiate with a play bow.

Brody walks well on a leash and is learning his basic commands.  We have been working more on socialization and trust for the time that I have had him.  Brody needs a leader that will continue to work with him, not feel sorry for him if he fears something but works with him with confidence and positive reinforcements so that he learns that the world is not a bad and scary place.

Brodie would not do well with small children at this time.  He needs to gain confidence in himself first.  He has been around children he just stays away and I don’t believe that he could take the constant upheaval of the household.  Right now he needs steady and calm.

The history on him states that he had AKC papers, so he maybe he is a Panda Shepherd.  But that is unknown.  I do know that he is very handsome.  He is a great dog, and he needs someone that is willing to give him the love he deserves and the structure he needs.
