7/31/15 update: Chelsey has just had her first Heartworm treatment and did well. She must stay quiet now. Chelsey is afraid of loud noises, fireworks and thunder. On July 4, she pulled out an entire toenail which bled a lot. She now uses an airline crate for her safe place - closed during storms and open all the rest of the time. Next two shot coming up in a month.

6/29/15 update: Chelsey's last puppy is gone and she has started her Doxycycline, the first stage of her heartworm treatment. In a month, she will have her first injection. So far she is tolerating the Doxy very well.

6/12/15 update:  DNA test is in and Chelsey is 100% GSD

5/22/15 update  Chelsey is getting healthy again! She is loosing all her old dry coat. The puppies are almost weaned and her milk is drying up. She will soon be able to start her month of doxycyline as the beginning of her heartworm treatment.

Chelsey has got to be the best mama dog I have ever fostered. She is devoted to her pups. She is also one of the sweetest dogs ever. She craves attention and is extremely loving. She wants to be with her person all the time and if nothing is going on, she will nap close by. Chelsey has never met a stranger...she love everyone she meets. She is good with other dogs as well. This little girl will need to go to a home where she will get lots of love and attention and can give that love back. A great girl for retirees, or most anyone with time to spend with her.

4/19/15  Chelsey came into foster care with eight puppies, eight days old. She has been vetted and she has Heartworms and will require treatment after she has finished with her pups. She was very skinny and had little milk for her pups when VGSR took her in. She is now providing nourishment for her babies and they are doing well. Me info on Chelsey as she settles in.
