Blondi was surrendered to a shelter in rural North Carolina along with two of her pack members, Junior (on VGSR's website) and another dog that got adopted from the shelter. She was a very frightened girl when she came to us a little over a week ago but has really started to come out of her shell. Blondi has some of the most expressive ears I have ever seen, as well as a very happy tail! Her coat is a little wiry (probably a GSD mix), but her face looks GSD and she even does the head tilt. Blondi craves attention and is very food motivated so she will be easy to train for someone with patience. She gets along great with the other dogs (two GSDs and Tyke) and has begun to play chase and wrestles some time. Based on her behavior and how easily and eager she is to play with the other dogs I think Blondi will make a great dog park dog. Blondi also lives with two resident cats and acts as though she always has. There are many things that appear new to Blondi like looking in the mirror, noises on TV, elk antlers, etc, but she is a curious girl and we are allowing her to explore some of these things at her own pace. Blondi will be attending adoption events in Purcellville and Front Royal. If you are an approved adopter and would like more information about Blondi, please e-mail her foster mom at mroeshort@aol.com
