Joan Jett is the sweetest most loving dog I have ever encountered!  And she’s a smart girl too!  Joan wants nothing more than to find a family of her own.  She LOVES to cuddle with her people all the time.  She came into our home and got along with her foster sister immediately.  They share toys, sofas and their foster mom.  They even take toys out of each other’s mouth and no one gets upset.  Joan loves to ride in the car.  She lies in the back seat and watches the world go by.  She enjoys a lazy afternoon just lying in the yard.  The only down side to this great girl is that she is heart worm positive.  She wants to play with and chase her foster sister so badly, but her activity level has to be restricted for her safety during this treatment.  Her treatment should be completed in August/September and will be available for adoption at that time.  But believe me; this girl is worth the wait!  She learned and responded to her new name within 2 hours!  How smart is she?  She is house trained; crate trained and knows her basic commands.  She is a little interested in the small, furry animals so for that reason I do not recommend her go to a home with small dogs or cats. She is good in the house when not crated, but she a bit of an explorer.  She likes to see what’s in the trash and on the counter tops, so for that reason I do keep her in a crate when I’m away from home.   If you are an approved adopter and would like more information on Joan Jett, please contact her foster mom at reneehoward1@cox.net.
