Like any young GSD, Shira has a lot of pent up energy that needs to be expelled. She would do best in a home with a large, fenced in backyard and one that does not crate her for long periods of time. Shira was surrendered to VGSR, as her owners determined they could not meet her mental and physical needs. She will need someone with GSD experience and someone who is willing to challenge and stimulate her both mentally and physically. She does come with AKC papers and can be registered.

Shira is a very even tempered dog with a great personality. She does lack in the animal socialization aspect and needs to learn how to behave around other animals. She comes on very strong with other dogs, but if they engage her in play – she will play right back. She is a very sweet, playful and loveable puppy who greets everyone with great enthusiasm. I think she will make an excellent dog with the right training and guidance. She does have curvature of the spine, which the vets indicated she should grow out of. According to her previous owners, it has improved drastically already. This does not affect her ability to run around and play.
