Anna is a beautiful young female shepherd.  She seems to be house-trained and crate-trained.  She's good with other large dogs, but small dogs, cats, and other animals are unknown.  Anna has settled into her foster home amidst 6 or 7 other dogs and she gets along well, but is becoming very attached to her foster dad and clearly wants to be his one and only dog.  She takes correction well, but probably hasn't had much training or guidance in her young life.  Anna would be best as an only dog or with less dominant dogs.  She will stick close to her person and seems to want and need that one-to-one bond. Anna is very thin, and although she has a very slender body type, she needs to gain 5-10 pounds but hasn't been able to do so.  She tested negative for EPI but she could have a food allergy that may require a special diet.  Currently she is eating a grain-free food and I think she has put on a couple of pounds but not very much.  Any interested applicant should be prepared to deal with this.  She is fostered near Charlottesville, VA.  If you'd like to meet Anna, you can contact her foster home at vadogrescue@gmail.com.
