If you have followed Gretel’s story, you’ll know she has endured a lot in her short time with VGSR. From giving birth to only one puppy in the shelter who passed away a week later, to arriving to VGSR and bleeding out, due to a botched spay which required emergency surgery and blood transfusions. She lost over 50% of her blood, but this girl had a will to live.

Ms. Gretel is finally ready for her forever home. She has been with us for a month now and is doing very well, getting adjusted to a new life. She is trustworthy being alone in the house, there is no need to crate her. Gretel has not chewed on anything and will not jump up on furniture.

She loves all humans, both big and small. We have not had any problems with other dogs, and she is currently living with our 2 large dogs. Gretel is very low maintenance. She loves to go on a daily walk. No need for jogging, but she will run if you want to.
