When Shaine first came to her foster home she was scared and had anxiety issues. She would not let anyone pet her or even put a leash on her. Now she is doing so much better! She is no longer afraid of men, leashes or people petting her! She loves to play and will until her tongue is hanging! She is great with kids big and small once she gets to know them. She will bark and let you know someone is outside or at the door! She will also stare you down and whine when she needs to go outside.

Thunder or very loud noises still scares her very bad but if she can go into her crate or find a quiet place to hide until she is over it she will be ok. Right now she wears what is called a calming collar that seems to help her with the noises. It looks like a flea collar and is replaced every 30 days.

She needs someone that understands it may take her awhile to warm up to them and show her true self which is a wonderful and loving dog! The first week she was in her foster home she was scared of everything but slowly realized that she was safe and people just wanted to love her.

She loves to go for car rides and would go everywhere if she could! Her leash training is coming along though she still pulls quite a bit and needs more work. She enjoys going for a walk and all the smells she can get it! She is a very smart dog and knows commands when you tell her to do something. Even a 4 year old boy can give her commands and she listens!

If you sit on the floor expect her to be in your lap in about two seconds cuddling with you. She will not jump onto the furniture to cuddle though.

She has really grown and shown her foster family and everyone she meets that given time and a lot of patience a really good dog can be underneath!
