My name is Spirit! I became a member of the VGSR pack after my owner surrendered me in Norfolk, VA. I have an outgoing personality and will make a great dog! I am constantly being told I am a very, very handsome boy and the vet said I have a clean bill of health after being treated for an upper respiratory bug I picked up in the shelter. My foster parents also mentioned that they think I may have been an only child since my foster brothers are having to teach me to share toys, water bowls, etc, which Im getting the hang of, but I am not food aggressive. I am housebroken, leash trained, can sit and lay down on cue and have played with large/med/small dogs at the dog park. I tremendously enjoy being loved on by people by immediately rolling onto my back on top of their feet, but I may accidentally knock over little ones. Although my foster parents have not yet seen me around kids, I have given them no reason to think I would not be great, just super cuddly. I have visited my foster moms barn and met horses and cats and am intrigued, but do not bark or pull on the leash. My foster mom loves that when the doorbell rings I bark twice and settle down right after she says to. I enjoy riding in the car, tennis balls, treats, walks/hikes and cuddling the most.
