Shelly is listed as a courtesy, and is available for adoption through Tara's House Rescue. www.tarashouse.net. Meet Shelly. Shelly was rescued from a rural Virginia shelter just in the nick of time. She is a lovely beagle/ hound mix. She is full of grace and agility, and very little of the hound "bay" they are known for. Shelly is living peacefully in a foster home with other dogs and cats. Shelly has been marvelous with the other dogs, and finds the cats to be great entertainment. She can get a little over-zealous with kitties, but it's never her intention to hurt one, however the kitties in the house are also quite dog savvy! Shelly is up-to-date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and spayed. She rides well in the car, and although you can tell she's not had any formal training, she is very well-behaved on a leash and in the house. Shelly is crate trained, and making tremendous strides in her foster home towards being housetrained. Shelly sleeps in a crate during the day while her fostermom is at work. This is a lovely dog who would fit nicely and easily into most homes. Shelly has not had the kindest life up until now, and desperately is looking for someone special to give her a shot at being somebody's really special girl. Warning: this girl is a cuddle-bug!
