Edelweiss, or “Winnie” as her fosters have been calling her, is a love bug. She loves to give kisses and cuddle up in your lap for some love and attention. She’s very affectionate, and while she appeared very gentle at first, she is coming out of her shell and playing a bit more roughly, like a typical puppy. She’s quite frightened of new places, but she warms up quickly in her surroundings once she feels safe. Winnie LOVES to run and play in the yard, and find the best stick to chew on. She plays very well with her 5-year-old GSD foster sister; She’s very dog-friendly and would love to find a home with another dog to play with and learn from, to help build her confidence. She doesn’t like to be left alone, so her ideal family will have someone that can be home most of the time with her (works remote, etc). 

She is working on potty training during the day, but she sleeps well in a dog bed all night without making a peep. She is learning basic commands, and is a little nervous on a leash at the moment. With consistent training, she will surely be a perfect dog for a loving family. She won’t last long, so apply for her now! Some family is going to be very lucky to have this little love bug.
