Want a partner for adventure, walking, hiking? Jack is affectionate, sweet, handsome boy with good house manners and is very easy going with other dogs. He previously lived with children. Jack gets along very well with his two furry foster siblings (also GSDs) and will likely will be fine with cats but foster doesn't have cats. He loves to meet other dogs, and did manage to make it over a 6-ft privacy fence to meet a neighbor dog (great recall so came back immediately, albeit through a door instead of jumping). Jack is crate trained but is given free reign by his foster. He does want to be with his person and is creative to find the best way to watch through the windows when his person is outside. He loves car rides, hikes, walks, tummy rubs, treats and snuggles and will offer up kisses. He does whine some when he wants something (water, attention) but that is decreasing. He barks when people approach and occasionally at delivery trucks parking outside and is otherwise relatively quiet...but his bark is loud. He was not well cared for in his home and ended up at the shelter. He was neutered 5/21, and at that time also had a cracked lower canine removed and a mass (benign) removed. He is doing great and is energetic and playful. He would love to have his own human(s) and/or dogs to follow around. He is healthy and looking forward to meeting his new family.
