Ellie is a very friendly senior dog. She loves to meet both new people and dogs. She is protective of her home and possessions when visitors come but warms up very quickly. She lives with her little sister Harley (#6165) who she has lived with since Harley was a puppy. The two of them are like peas in a pod. Ellie loves to go on walks and play outside. She also likes to play her own version of fetch where she chases after balls in the yard, but rather than bringing it back to you, she stands over it proudly, letting you know she found it and then walks away. Ellie is a very quiet, gentle dog who loves to take naps and cuddle when she is not playing outside. Ellie is located in Virginia Beach, VA. If you would like to adopt or schedule a visit with her, we do not provide transportation of the dogs and you would need to come meet Ellie. Thank you!

The primary area of operation for Virginia German Shepherd Rescue (VGSR) is the Commonwealth of Virginia, Maryland, and the metropolitan Washington, D.C area*.  Currently, the VGSR area of operation also supports adopters and fosters in the following areas: 

• 60 miles into North Carolina in the vicinity of the Tidewater (VA) area

• 60 miles into West Virginia from the cities of Winchester (VA) and Roanoke (VA)
