1/1/22: Sylvie is leash walking like a pro! She visited a park today and walked nearly a mile. She was interested in people and did great during her dog introduction to a new male GSD. Sylvie was very neutral and was more interested in people than the dog. She had a small child give her a few pets. She also rode in the backseat of the car and was very content. She fell asleep on the ride home.

12/30/21: Meet Sylvie 3894 - she is an outgoing little spitfire! Sylvie and her sister (Chi Chi 3893) are both in foster care with VGSR due to an overpopulation situation in a home with over 20 dogs. Sylvie had the benefit of getting to be indoors some which gave her more socialization with people and exposure to things. Sylvie is a complete sweetheart! She loves people and has been friendly with everyone she has met. She is estimated to be around 7 months old and she is your typical energetic pup with a little extra spice from the malinois in her. Despite Sylvie getting some socialization with people she hasn't been exposed to the "world", has never worn a collar and has never been on a leash. Sylvie's first response to a leash was to freeze and tremble. She also trembled quite a bit in the car as it was her first car ride in a crate. We are working on teaching Sylvie to walk on a leash and so far she is running around the house with a leash attached without any problems. She loves ripping and running through the backyard! Sylvie is a smart girl, she is treat motivated and eager to learn! She has done well with pottying outside and once she settles in the crate she does pretty well - we are still working on a routine and adjusting to her foster home. Sylvie's ideal home would be with an active family who has the desire and time to devote to obedience training with her.  She is looking for an adopter who can help show her the world and help her to be a well-rounded lady.  Sylvie is a fantastic girl, she's got a phenomenal personality and will make a wonderful companion!
