German Shepherd Dog (long coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult
10/18/20 ADOPTION PENDING.
9/29/20 Clyde is gorgeous, smart, and affectionate. Indoors, he is a velcro Shepherd, and wants to be with his person all the time (and on the furniture if he could get away with it). He is calm and obedient in the house and enjoys chewing on (and shredding) his toys. He will alert you if he hears something outside but stops barking when he is told. Outside he gets very excited when people walk by the fence and this sets him running laps. It’s great exercise, but when he gets going he is very fast and very strong, and would take out a dog or person that was in his path, so other dogs in the home need to be big enough to handle him. He’s done well with other dogs he has been introduced to, but is reactive to other dogs on leash. He is getting better about walking nicely on leash but pulls very hard if he sees a squirrel. He has not been exposed to cats. He seems to have had very limited socialization prior to being picked up as a stray, but is quickly adapting to his new life. He is a sweet, stunning dog who will make a great companion to someone who has experience with GSDs.
