Aren’t I the sweetest looking thing coming down the pike? Hi, my name is Sergeant and that’s what my mom says. She tells me other things that make me smile, like you are so sweet and soft and adorable. But I’m not so sure about the part where she says she could just gobble me right up!

Mom calls me Sarge for short. I’m really smart because I answer to both Sergeant and Sarge. Not much is known about my former life. Evidently I was found running amok and placed in a shelter. I really didn’t care for the shelter because all that noise scared me! Thank goodness it was only for a short time. I’ve been living with my foster mom and two older brothers for about two weeks now which I find super cool.

I really like having brothers but I kinda wish I had one more my age so we could play together. Snoop is almost 8 and he is a foster like me. He prefers the quiet (sometime he hides under the deck from me) but he lets me follow him around and once in a great while we play chase. My other brother Sebastian is about 12 and my foster mom adopted him from VGSR. He has this thing about his big rocks and he won’t let me go anywhere near them. But since I’m really still a puppy at heart, I ignore his growling and barking when I get too near his rock, and then he chases me. I love that!

Since I can’t get the old fogies to play with me often, I know how to entertain myself! I have one of those orange rubbery look-a-like tennis balls that I play with. I take it in my mouth and whip my head back and forth until it comes flying out of my mouth. Then I chase it and I play pawsoccer. I really crack mom up when I do that.

I know you probably can’t tell, but I admit I’m not perfect. I probably need some basic training, but I listen really good to mom. Might need some of that grammar training as well… When she tells me to stop what I’m doing, I do. She usually just makes this sound that says I’d better listen to her.

I really, really do not like leashes, except they make great chew toys. Mom finally wised up and I now have a chain leash. Even though I do pretty good riding in the car, right now I’m scared to get into the car. I just don’t know what to expect. To be honest, I can still get a little scared at home so mom has to remember to go slow. Even though I do get scared, I’m a very good boy. The first time mom took me to the vet I was so scared I was shaking. But then I fell asleep when the doc was doing the exam! I’m a regular cut-up, aren’t I?

I am house broken in that I let mom know that I have to go out. I was ok a couple of times in my crate but there was this one time mom was gone for an eternity. Seriously, she was. Well it felt like it. Anyway I sure taught her a lesson. I chewed up some of Snoop’s bed that was in my crate. Hey, what can I say. Its inside looked like angel food cake, but man it sure didn’t taste like it! Anyway, I don’t like the crate so much. I mean my brothers get to hang free in the house so why can’t I? Oh yeah. The chew thing.

I may be on the smaller side but I have this huge, huge heart that just wants to give someone soft kisses and hang right by their side. When we walk on the log path on the property I stay with mom and the boys. Sometimes I might run a head a little ways but then I wait for them to catch up.

Mom isn’t sure about the little tyke thing. She does know that while we were at an adoption event, a cute little girl came up to pet me and then she pulled the really soft fur on top of my head. I didn’t bat an eye. I just continued to lay there.

OKAY. Listen up everybody: I love giving and getting lots of kisses, hugs and snuggles. Mom said that whoever adopts me, she would make sure they would give me lots of that stuff! If I had my druthers, I'd like a furbuddy to play with. Although I doubt I would mind being the center of attention either.  If you have any questions you can reach mom and us beasty boys at nottsonja@gmail.com
