11/29/16  Introducing TRITON, my current foster. He is a full energy 2.5 y/o puppy that gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children. He was previously with a cat, but every cat is different, so no guarantees.  He has yet to meet a stranger. Triton is curious about the world and I've not seen a mean bone in him. Although he has a very impressive GSD bark. He is an escape artist but only in an effort to be with his people/person/child. He jumped my back fence and rather than roam free he went to the front door and barked and scratched to be with us.  He had the opportunity to explore the world, but he bonds quickly and has the awesome trait of every good GSD - loyalty. Triton requires a 6' fence, needs an active life, he is extremely athletic, food and play motivated. He does not like to be confined and will break out of a crate. I'd like to see him have other dogs in his home and do believe he wants a boy of his own. He loves my 8 y/o son, has been happy to meet every kid introduced to him, and is very affectionate and loving, but doesn't quite know his own strength.  He has a protective streak in him and had to be taught that pillow fights are fun with Mom and boy.   He's incredibly goofy and cute and very much wants to please. He came with no manners but is learning quickly to walk nicely on leash, sit, down, stay and come and does very well with "leave it".  Triton has also learned to take food more gently and has shown no food aggression at all just enthusiasm. He needs advanced training and practice to match his intelligence and drive. This boy requires an active life. He loves to bike ride and use his head and will require time to invest in him.
