Hello Potential adopters my name is Dowdy I am a 8 month old male Dutch Shepherd.  I am a young intelligent active stubborn boy that loves to run and play and am very much still a puppy at heart and mind.  My foster mommy says that I need someone to be able to continue and teach me manners and grow up to be a big strong dog.  I am a slender, tall boy and am still growing just look at my ears and feet.  I am slowly learning that crates are my friend after a little helpful entry push and becoming a little less vocal about being in them.  I love staying out of the crate sleeping on my doggie bed eating my bones, and hard rubber toys but it's best to keep those pesky stuffed toys away from me when there is no supervision as they are very tasty.  I love to go for car rides and just take a nap or put my head on the seat cover so that I can see the world go by.  I am learning that little dogs are mean little creatures at least the ones that I live with and very hard to play with or even try to snuggle with so it's just best to watch them from a distance.  However I have a big brother and funny looking sister that play with me and share their toys and I try to misbehave they warn me that foster mommy will be very angry so I have been trying to be a very good boy.  I am eager to play and chased the ball the children were playing with in the field foster mommy took me to.  It was very hard to have to sit or lay down and watch them and not chase them so I shouldn't go to a home with young children as I may take all their toys.  I did well with them petting and hugging me after i tried to taste what was on their hands but I am very young like them and don't listen well all the time.
