Trooper is a 2-year-old, handsome GSD. His owners have decided to let him go to a home that can give him the exercise and care he so desperately needs. Obedience training is also recommended once Trooper finds his forever home. Once settled down, he does seem to get along with other dogs, but his behavior is unknown with cats. He is not food motivated, but does love to play ball. Trooper is very alert and interested in everything around him when walking on leash. He does tend to pull quite a bit and will need someone willing to work with him on this. Trooper presently lives in a home with a young girl and does fine. However; it is not recommended that he go to a home with young children. Trooper is crate-trained, and according to his owners, is very protective of his crate. Like most GSDs, he is somewhat protective of his home and family. For this reason, Trooper should only be placed in a home with someone who has experience with GSDs.
