Adopted!

I don't know why my former owners abandoned me and left me to fend for myself in a scary house. Naturally, now I don't want to be left in the house alone, so my foster parents let me stay in my crate whenever they are away. I like my crate and I never make a fuss. When I come out I am very happy and like to run and give kisses. I would love it if my forever home had someone at home most of the day. Something punctured my left eye and now I have scar tissue that partially blocks my vision. My foster Mom is putting drops in my eye and soon we will know if they are helping reduce the scar tissue so that I can see more out of that eye. A little scar tissue doesn't bother me though. I love car rides, swimming, walks, tummy rubs, and being with my foster family. I am content to be with my family while they are watching TV or working around the house. I keep an eye on the front door, but I don't bark very much.. I have excellent house manners, know basic commands, learn quickly and I want to please. I have been friendly and lived with other foster dogs, but I don't really like little dogs or alpha dogs. I get along well with the 2 cats I live with now. I am a sweet girl, very easy to love, and I am looking for a forever home and someone who will promise to never leave me. Please contact Trish at lovedoggie@cox.net for more information about Shelbi.
