Samson is truly a solid citizen and is genuinely affectionate. Samson is also strikingly beautiful. He has the regal head and stance of a cover dog. He has a lovely floating trot (some good lines here). Samson is a neutered, male, German Shepherd who is up to date on all his shots. He is house-trained and crate-trained, and does not have any bad chewing habits. Samson loves car rides (as long as he gets to sit in your lap) and loves hikes in the woods (as long as he can circle back for pats quite often). Samson takes treats gently from your hand and responds well to very basic commands. Samson takes a few days to settle into a new situation and can be a bit nervous and noisy until he does. But once he settles in, he is a really good boy. Samson gets along with other dogs after the proper introduction. Samson gets quite excited around the kitties, so he would be best placed in a home without cats. Samson has bonded well with his foster family. He is quite simply, a kind, devoted companion.
