Pearl as she came to us from a shelter in North Carolina. You can see the dramatic improvement in the pictures above.
Hooooow-Dee! Please meet our very own Minnie Pearl! (aka known as Pearly Twirly Girly - she dances circles when you get out the food bowl!) She is a very special dog and will require couch privileges in her new home. She likes to put her head on your lap and share the sofa with you! Pearl is a sweet, petite, little pooch that is bound to steal your heart. She only weighs around 45 lbs. She is house-trained, rides well in the car, walks nicely on a leash and does not have to be crated when you are at work. She met the cat, sniffed, the cat, licked the cat, and then walked away. Pearl is shy when she first meets you, but is very affectionate once she warms up to you. Poor Pearl had quite a few litters of pups in her short life from the looks of her under-carriage. She also needs to be treated for heartworm infestation. As soon as we get a couple more pounds on her frame she will undergo her heartworm treatment and be spayed. She came to us totally emaciated, but she is looking better every single day. SLVA VGSR Tag #1801 Adopted: 07/28/07.
