What a gem! Lovely Pearl is about 4 years old, and weighs 73 pounds. This beautiful dog was found as a stray. She appears to have been a member of a family because the first thing she did when she came into her foster home was to take a dog toy and make herself right at home. She is house-trained. Pearl is very affectionate; giving kisses to all her human friends. She wants very much to please and appreciates any attention that she is given. She loves to play ball and will fetch and return the ball. She understands basic commands but could use some refresher work. Pearl is possessive of her toys with other dogs but may outgrow this as she settles into her new home. She lets her foster parents take toys from her with no problem. Our initial feeling is that she is okay with cats - she is curious, but not aggressive. She will make a wonderful companion for a family who can provide her with the love and attention she deserves. Pearl is being fostered in Northern Virginia.
