Mardi (pronounced "Marty")
Some homeless and ownerless GSDs from New Orleans have made their way into our Rescue. We have been asked to assist the rescue effort by taking them into VGSR and finding forever homes for them. Mardi and Gras arrived in our Rescue in September thin and emaciated. They survived Hurricane Katrina and were found swimming together for their lives when they were rescued. They were skinny, weak and hungry....but, they are very, very sweet. They are currently in foster care together and are looking for a "forever" home. Since they survived the disaster together, we would very much like to adopt them out together so that they can live forever together. Gras is about three years old, she has had all her shots and is now spayed. Please look into your hearts and see if there is a way that you can offer these dogs a loving "forever" home together or donate generously to VGSR to help cover the Veterinarian expenses to get these dogs back to health.
