Adopted!

June came from a shelter in Roanoke where she was picked up as a stray. The vet estimated her to be 4-5 years old based on the condition of her teeth at the first visit. But the consensus of everyone else who sees her seems to that she's a bit younger. So 2-4 years might be a better guess. She is a sweet and gentle dog with a moderate energy level. She is good with children and takes a treat oh so gently from even the smallest child. Cats are still unknown but she shows no interest in the resident parrot or in chasing squirrels when outside. She has no desire to stray very far from her people and does well off leash with supervision, of course. She is doing well with house-training and has had no accidents while having free roam of the house at night. June doesn't jump up on the furniture or chew anything that doesn't belong to her. She will surf the kitchen counter for a tasty treat but we're working on this. June rides beautifully in the car and gets along great with other dogs. She's an easy girl to live with.
