Adopted!

|
| Jill is a big girl with a big heart and lots of love to give. She was unceremoniously dumped at a shelter when her
family split in a divorce and everyone went their separate ways with no one taking responsibility for the dog. Through it all, Jill
has remained a sweet, well-adjusted, and trusting dog. She has adapted well and has never had an unkind word for the 5 or 6 new
dogs she has been socializing with in her foster home. Jill must have been a bit of couch potato, but she's now getting more
exercise and less food and will be slimming down to a nice summer weight, probably about 80 pounds. She loves getting out to
play in some open space and she walks very nicely on a leash. Although Jill is friendly and well socialized, because of her size she
would be an imposing presence and would be great to accompany someone who likes to walk. She was a bit anxious going to her
first adoption event, but she enjoyed herself once there and did very well with all the new people, dogs, and kids. She went past
some cats and paid them no attention, but we don't really know if she's had any one-on-one experience with a cat. Jill is living
near Charlottesville, VA, but will be coming to Northern Virginia adoption events. You can contact her foster home at
vadogrescue@aol.com if you have any questions or would like to meet this wonderful dog. JBVA
