Jackson is a real looker. This gorgeous dog is about 1.5 years old, a sable, pure-bred German Shepherd. Jackson was found as a stray and waited patiently in the animal shelter for us to rescue him. He weighs 90 pounds, is good with people and other large dogs. No cats or small animals, though. Jackson has lots of energy and drive, so he will need an active permanent home. Jackson knows some of the basics like sit and down. He is house- and crate-trained. Jackson will require a strong handler who is willing to do obedience work with him as well as be an experienced GS owner. Jackson is being fostered in Northern Virginia. HDVA Adopted: 09/13/04.
