| Ice was abandoned at the front door of the Humane Society back in August. He weighs in at 101 lbs., and is
estimated to be about 5 years old. He is up-to-date on shots and is scheduled to be neutered shortly. He is house-trained, great
with kids, other dogs (large and small) and cats. He has great manners, knows basic commands, and walks well on a leash. He
has an excellent disposition and loves human companionship. CAUTION: When I first brought Ice home in August, he had a major
issue with separation anxiety. Even in my GSD room with my two other dogs, he ripped down some dry wall and tore a hole
in a door trying to get out. I have no doubt most of this was contributed to being taken out of his peaceful home environment,
put in a kennel, transported from Richmond, and put in a new home environment with kids and dogs. He was definitely timid
and quiet for the longest time. In the past two months, Ice has gained 20 lbs., and plays actively with my dogs and children.
He no longer feels the need to rip down walls or doors and sleeps peacefully in my GSD room at night. I am working on getting
him used to a crate at this time as I know it will help in the upcoming transition to his permanent home. You can contact Ice's
foster home at
drauden44@comcast.net if you have any questions. RDVA
