Adopted!

Eva was picked up as a stray, and gave birth to her pups a week after she came into VGSR foster care. We have 10 pups; 6 males and 4 females. Eva was an attentive, snappy mom, who didn't like people around her pups. That lasted only a short time. She now welcomes visitors and likes the attention that she and the pups receive. She temp-tested well with other dogs and cats in the shelter, but so far she has shown no interest in meeting the other dogs and in fact, seems a little intimidated. She does not like the cat. This may change when she no longer is caring for her pups. She's well-mannered in the house and there's no need to crate her. She walks well on the leash, rides well and knows some basic commands. She likes to lie outside on the porch and watch people and traffic, but seldom barks at anything. She's an easy, gentle GSD and great company. Eva needs time to gain some weight and get her girlish figure back - she and her pups will be available for adoption after 4/5/06. GSAVA VGSR Tag #1347 Adopted: 04/06/06.
