Casey is a beautiful, affectionate German Shepherd that turns heads and wins friends and admirers wherever she goes. This big girl is sometimes mistaken for a “wolf” or a “malamute” of some kind, but she is a pure-bred GSD that just happens to have unusual snow-white coloring and statuesque size. Casey adores people and loves getting belly rubs and back scratches. She has a very sweet temperament and would do well as a therapy dog in hospitals or nursing homes, as she eagerly accepts attention from all kinds of people (especially if they have treats!). Casey is also an active dog that enjoys taking long hikes in the woods around Rock Creek and Lake Frank near her foster home in Rockville, Maryland. She is a natural swimmer and will occasionally chase balls and sticks thrown into the water for her. Casey has suffered a fair amount of loss in her life (her owner died, her litter(s) of puppies were taken away from her), and she is looking for a long-term, committed relationship with a new someone who will love her forever and give her a stable home.
