Adoption Pending!

Baka is very sick with vasculitis. Baka came to Virginia German Shepherd rescue as an owner-surrender. A young man owned Baka, and when she got sick he knew he wouldn't be able to afford the level of care she would need. So, the great news is she is young, 11 months, has not been neglected or abused but she is very sick. Vasculitis is an inflammation of the blood vessels. It happens when the body's immune system attacks the blood vessel by mistake. The disease has manifested on Baka's nose, paw pads, tongue and she had such a bad infection in her leg it split the skin. Despite being so sick and having to go to the vet for leg re-bandaging every other day she is a love. She has to wear a bag on her leg whenever so goes outside to protect it from moisture and she doesn't fight it. She let's you have her leg like she knows her time to run free is on the horizon. I can't even imagine what a amazing dog she will be once she gets healthy. She is currently living with two other German Shepherds and a cat and gets along with everyone. Please help Baka get healthy. Her treatment regime is expensive, so we are calling upon all of you kind souls to help us out by making a donation toward Baka's vet expenses.
